We've been building in public for the past year, and today we're finally ready to share what we've been working on.
ShapeBox is a browser-native 3D creation studio — imagine Figma, but for three-dimensional, interactive web experiences. No Unity license. No Blender learning curve. Just open your browser and start creating.
Why we built this
The web is the world's most universal platform. Yet most 3D content on the web still lives behind native app installs or obscure WebGL demos written by specialists. We think that needs to change.
Every designer, marketer, educator, and entrepreneur should be able to create immersive 3D content without writing a line of code. At the same time, developers deserve a platform that gets out of their way and exposes a clean, extensible API.
ShapeBox is our answer to both.
What you can do today
- Drag-and-drop 3D scene building — place objects, set materials, position lights, and arrange cameras with an intuitive visual editor.
- Physics simulation — add gravity, collisions, and spring constraints to any object. No code required.
- Real-time collaboration — invite teammates to build together, just like a Google Doc.
- animation timeline — keyframe any property and preview your animation in real time.
- One-click publish — embed your creation on any website with a single
<script>tag or export a standalone HTML file.
What's coming next
We're working on:
- A plugin marketplace where developers can distribute custom behaviours, shaders, and UI panels.
- XR support — step inside your creations with a VR headset directly from the browser.
- Asset marketplace — a curated library of 3D models, materials, and HDRI environments.

ShapeBox is free to start. Head to shape-box.com and create your first scene in minutes. We can't wait to see what you build.
"The best tool is the one that disappears." — We designed ShapeBox around this idea.
